In this picture I’m staining the frames my brother made for me (of which he did a beautiful job). Behind me is the diptych pretty much finished. There are quite a number of subtle changes but also some major ones. If you compare it to the earlier post “Caulfield Vista”, you will see the water has been redone, and the horizon has much more detail, also a tree in the foreground has been removed. Interestingly, where the two canvases meet in the middle does sort of look like a tree and had to considered as a part of the whole composition.
